Home Up Cringe Separation Anxiety Future Tense Julia Cesare Ace Derringer

Future Tense is a short piece meant as a sequel to a prior work entitled 3 Days Hence. Both pieces were developed for a digital editing class. I wrote, directed, and edited both and then shot them overnight using a Sony PD-150. I had no crew save my wonderful wife, Adrianna Kee, who acted as a calming force among the chaos. I shot one side of the conversation several times, then repeated the process for the other side. I then edited the entire short in Final Cut Pro, mixed with an audio track.

On this 'reel' there are two versions of the piece. The first was part of the general final exercise. The second part consisted of taking the first piece and reducing each scene to 1 second, with the exception of one scene up to 8 seconds. An audio voice over was then added along with the sound track. Interestingly, this was written and conceived of a year before the Saints actually one the Superbowl. Maybe it was my future self speaking through my present self acting as my future self (or maybe I just got lucky).
