This is an excellent professor. He keeps you informed about what is expected and what is not. Works with you if you have problems. Only downside is a strict attendance policy. Other than that, excellent.

His teaching technique is really simple, but completely understandable. You would really have to be lazy to do bad in his class.

This teacher is amazing! Lectures are really interesting! Kept me awake. If you keep up with the work, you'll do just fine! Probable the best history class I’ve ever had.

He's a cool dude. Class is easy, but he doesn't spoon-feed you notes. Lecture style, but the guy is really funny so he keeps you interested. You won't be disappointed.

Vines was very interesting and engaging. Class material was well prepared. Tests were difficult but fair. Papers more difficult but fair, told us exactly what he expected in our writings.

This class helped me to become a better writer, which I am very proud of. Overall, great class and I am glad I took it, great instructor.

He is a great teacher, and you can tell that he is teaching because he loves to do so. He is very inspiring and someone I will look up to.

I think the teacher really did a wonderful job of keeping a history class interesting and exciting even starting at 7:30AM. The fact that he was able to keep so optimistic while still providing the information was a bonus. The grading was fair and the material was presented in a variety of ways as to reach the different learning styles of the student. This is the first class that the teacher has given so much attention to his students as to care whether you pass or fail.

He is an excellent teacher. He really engages the students and gets us to think more critically and logically. He challenges what we think and encourages us to want to learn more.

Mr. Vines was a good teacher and made history interesting and not boring as most people think history is!

Mr. Vines is a phenomenal instructor! He was extremely well prepared and his knowledge went well beyond what was written in the syllabus to be covered. The way he taught the material of the class was extremely easy to follow and understand. He related prehistoric thought and logic to the way people do things today. The videos went well with the book and were extremely helpful.

Anthony Clark Vines has been the best history teacher I have ever had. He really motivated me to learn and expand my knowledge of the world we live in.

Amazing teacher, one of the ones who have an impact on your life, who shows you "the light". Loved every minute of this class, for its content as well as its instructor. Very caring and cooperative and loves what he does. That always has a positive impact on the students.

I think you are a wonderful professor. This is the only history class I have ever taken, where I actually wanted to stay awake and listen. So, thank you for a great semester.

If there were options higher than "very high"…he would have reached them and beyond. I have never come across a teacher who cares so much. He taught the material in a very open way and allowed us to analyze for ourselves. I only not grew in World History knowledge, but in knowledge about myself. It was a wonderfully taught course and there would be no greater candidate for the teaching role of this class other than Clark Vines. This class made my semester.

Professor Vines is an interesting teacher. He pushes his students to analyze and think. He pushes himself to get the material done. I've never met any professor who is willing to go that far to make sure this students learn, not just think.

The class was not only educational it was a place for students to feel comfortable with other classmates and the Instructor. The Instructor in this class was very engaging, funny, and well informed about history. He was able to carry a diverse class and included everyone’s ideas. Especially, with a good percent of the class being freshmen, and some transfer students. The survey of history to 1500 helped me to understand how different cultures developed. I was made to think critically about global, political, social, cultural, and economic historical development. I can now discuss the development of Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, and Judaism. These are things all students will learn in this class, as well as, understanding and relating to people of diverse groups.

Amazing instructor. Really stimulating your thinking. Let his students express their opinions about subjects in open discussions. Great teacher.

Mr. Vines is an extremely intelligent individual who truly has a passion for history. Although his class did not necessarily speak to my personal learning methods, it was educational and beneficial to my education.

Anthony Vines is undoubtedly one of the most knowledgeable and open minded professors I've had. His willingness to teach as well as learn from other students made this class extremely interesting and insightful. I am a science major but somehow enjoyed this history class the most throughout this semester.
