Anthony Clark Vines is a native
of Alabama who was raised in the Birmingham area. He pursued
undergraduate work at both Auburn University and the University
of Alabama at Birmingham, and graduate work at the University of
Montevallo. He is currently living in Atlanta, Georgia where he
is he is part of the PhD program in the Department of History,
and the MA program in the Department of Communications. at
Georgia State University. Though his educational interests are
numerous, his two great loves are history and instruction. His
work at Georgia State has allowed him the opportunity to merge
these two into one professional pursuit. When not pursing further
education, he is actively involved in art. His diverse interests
include social art, painting, sketching, cartooning, and
puppetry, though he does not confine himself to any one. Within
the field, he has worked as a photographer, filmmaker,
